Three days after losing 6-2 to the Selkirk Steelers, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines did not look any better on Sunday afternoon, losing 8-0 to the Dauphin Kings.
It was a dominating performance from start to finish for the Kings, as they outshot the Wolverines 52-30.
It all started just 1:02 into the game when Nathan Lenoski beat Jase Wareham on a breakaway to make it 1-0. That was the score after one period of play.
The second period was when the floodgates opened for the Kings when Ashton Paul, Cayden Glover, Matthew Thomas and Glover again scored to make it 5-0 after two periods.
In the third, the kings added three more as Lenoski scored his second of the game, Ethan Stewart and Joey Kubas added the extra markers.
Cole Sheffield recorded his second shutout of the year with the win.
The two teams will play again on Tuesday in Waywayseecappo, that game will start at 7:30pm. It will be the final game before a week and a half long break.
