Wolverines host Neepawa on Truth and Reconciliation Day

For the fourth straight year, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be hosting a game on National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

The Wolverines will be donning orange jerseys for the game,  as they host the Neepawa Titans.

The Wolverines haven’t played since Tuesday, after their game on Friday was postponed due to ice plant issues. Because of that, the Wolverines have played a league low 2 games so far in the season.

As for Neepawa, they have a 2-2-0-1 record in their first five games, losing back to back games against Dauphin by a score of 3-1 and 4-1.

The Titans poweprlay has been clicking this season so far, with them having a 50% success rate, scoring 8 goals on 16 opportunities.

They have wins against the Winkler Flyers and Portage Terriers so far, with one shootout loss to the Terriers in the first week.

The Wolverines meanwhile lost their first game 6-0, but battled hard in a back and forth game against the Virden Oil Capitals on Tuesday, losing 5-4.

This will be the first of six games between the two teams, with another scheduled at the Waywayseecappo Arena on the 8th of October.
