Wolverines head up North for Road Trip; face Stamps first

It’s the first road trip of the season for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, as they head up Highway 83 for back to back games against the Swan Valley Stampeders and the Northern Manitoba Blizzard.

The Wolverines are coming off a big first win of the season when they beat the Neepawa Titans on Monday evening, by a score of 5-1.

Meanwhile the Swan Valley Stampeders are coming off a humbling loss to Niverville, as they lost 8-2.

The two teams were the ones to miss the playoffs in the West Division last year, and are looking for bounce back years, but both have just two points after the first two weekends.

For the Stampeders, since the first game when they were able to score five goals, they have not scored more than two since.

The Wolverines were shut out in their first game, but were able to put up 9 goals in two games since.

The Stamps will be playing just their second home game of the season though, as they haven’t hosted a game since opening night.

The two teams will meet six times this season, but won’t play again until the second half of the season, with back to back games against each other after the Christmas break, and three games in the first two weeks back.
